Warmzone
Constantly Updating its Line of Radiant Heat Products
Warmzone, a
leading provider of interior and exterior radiant heat
solutions, added to its already extensive product offering
with the HeatShield
floor heating insulation panels and FloorHeat
low-voltage radiant heat system. “Our
goal is to provide the most complete selection of proven
radiant heat products and systems from the best
manufacturers in the business,” stated Brandon
Weaver, Warmzone’s Executive VP of Systems
Design and Engineering. “By visiting Warmzone.com and
talking to one of our radiant heat experts,” he
continued, “consumers will be able to find the
best
custom radiant heat solution for their
needs.”
Unlike many distributors of radiant heat
products, Warmzone’s offering is not limited to
just one brand or manufacturer. Rather, Warmzone works
closely with manufacturers throughout the world in its
quest offer the highest quality radiant heat products
at the most affordable pricing possible. Subsequently,
Warmzone is continually updating its product
offerings. When new systems or products hit the
market, Warmzone carefully researches and tests them to
determine whether they should become part of the product
line. This is a great benefit for consumers who are
often overwhelmed with the vague, yet abundant volume
of content offered online by less reputable radiant heat
distributors. Consumers who work with Warmzone can be
assured that the products and systems offered are at
the very top of their class.
In addition to offering the most tried-and-true
radiant heating products on the market, Warmzone also
includes complete radiant heat
system engineering and design services (with
autoCAD). “A radiant heating system is only as
good as its installation,” Weaver emphasized,
“so by providing complete system design
services all potential issues are addressed prior to
beginning the installation. This ultimately saves the
consumer money by eliminating any costly surprises
from arising during installation.” Warmzone
also has an experienced master electrician on hand to
provide support during the design and installation
process.
Through its
website, Warmzone provides a wealth of radiant heat
information, as well as radiant heating system
installation manuals, technical drawings and product
guides. The Warmzone website may be the most
comprehensive collection of radiant heat
information and documentation online. By
reviewing the content, consumers can more effectively
evaluate the radiant heat systems that are available.
“We feel
that the more that consumers understand about radiant heat,
the more they’ll appreciate the quality and selection
of solutions that Warmzone offers,” added Bryan
Morris, Warmzone National Sales Director. “But
most of our calls are from people aren’t sure where
to start, which is why we have a professional staff on
hand who are happy to listen to the consumers’
needs and recommend the best option for them.”
To view the electric
radiant floor heating systems offered by
Warmzone, visit the under floor
heating and radiant
floor heating web page. To learn more about
the radiant snow melting solutions available, visit
Warmzone’s snow and ice melting web page.
Warmzone also offers proven roof heating and gutter melt
radiant heating systems as well as portable snowmelt
solutions.
“We do the
research and field testing to find the best products so that
homeowners can visit our site and have a wide variety of
tried and true solutions to choose from. No two
installations are the same, which is why we customize
each project to best meet the specific needs of the
customer.

Upon hearing the words,
“What can Brown do for You? ®”
an immediate vision comes to mind of a large, brown
delivery truck with the name UPS emblazoned on
each side. United Parcel Service has done an
incredible job to bring their name to the forefront in
the package-delivery market. The same might
be said regarding “The Golden Arches
®,” McDonald’s famous advertising
ploy. Most highly-successful businesses are
easily recognized by a catchy slogan or an
eye-catching symbol.
We at Warmzone want to be
known in the radiant heat arena as the company
that will do everything possible to “just
make sense” of what might be a confusing array of
possibilities for consumers who are seeking
information on alternative heating sources.
Why are such vast
numbers seeking an alternative radiant heating source
?
Questar Gas Company, included
the following message with January’s fuel
bill mailing: “As you have seen,
natural gas bills this winter are significantly higher
than last year. Even with all the news about
higher natural gas prices, reality doesn’t
set in until your bill is opened.” Unless
customers have been oblivious to drastic increases
in fuel costs over the past two months, this was
somewhat of an understatement. More than just
reality has set in upon consumers! Caught
somewhere in the middle of paying a huge fuel bill
and taking a sick child to see a doctor, people
are taking a stand against such increases.
President Bush has encouraged
our nation to look for alternative sources as we
have become “addicted to oil.” In
his state of the union address on January 31, 2006 he
announced the Advanced Energy Initiative, a 22%
increase in clean-energy research at the
Department of Energy, “to push for breakthroughs
in two vital areas. To change how we power our
homes and offices, we will invest more in
zero-emission coal-fired plants, revolutionary solar and
wind technologies, and clean, safe nuclear
energy.” Quoting once more from the
Questar message: “As you can see, prices on the
open market are volatile and have increased to
record highs this year both nationally and locally.”
Volatile, skyrocketing,
record high fuel costs provide reasons aplenty for
so many people to turn to Warmzone.com for
guidance in finding the best-possible radiant heat
system for their needs. Consumers are
finding themselves backed into a corner and are
looking for an efficient, comfortable alternative.
That just makes sense!
With our commitment to
researching the best options for radiant heat and
assessing each job individually, our research and
design team is prepared to design each project with the
ideal system to meet the needs of our customers at the
best available prices.
Warmzone is a different kind
of company. Unlike a manufacturer, we do not
favor one system over another. We
acknowledge the fact that there are dozens of brands
and types of radiant systems that offer unique
qualities, but no one system is the answer for
every project. We take great interest in
your project goals, requirements and budget and then
provide you with a quote for the best system
available to complete your project. We may
suggest using an electric, hydronic or a combination of
these technologies. There are clear
advantages and disadvantages to each system and
technology. We will explain why we prefer one
system over another for your particular
project. At Warmzone.com, you can expect
simple, honest explanations for our suggestions to you.
Customer service is at the
top of our priority list. As with
“Brown” or the “Golden
Arches,” we would be nothing without you,
the consumer. We are committed to helping
people install the latest in innovative radiant heat
systems by providing:
1. High quality materials
2. Installation packages that simplify the
work.
3. Design assistance
4. Installation advice and support.
5. The latest ideas in energy efficiency and
alternative energy. We are not satisfied
until you are satisfied. That, of course,
makes perfect sense!
Radiant heat systems are
constantly evolving – which can be a
challenge when it comes to deciding which is the
best system for your project. You can be assured
that Warmzone will consider every system and then
offer you the best technology for your project.
Most of the systems we design
and sell can easily be installed by any plumbing
and heating professional or general
contractor. But if you cannot find either
professional in your area, our products can be
installed by any reasonably-competent
handyman. Custom design and engineering packages
are also available to assure that you are getting
off on the right foot with your heating
investment. These plans take the guess work out of the
installation and become a road map for your system
for future reference or to pass on to the next
home owner.
We welcome your inquiries and
are prepared to help you with your radiant heat
decisions. Warmzone is the only
company matching individual heating projects to
solutions that make sense among the wide variety
of available choices. We’re not
“brown,” nor are we “gold,”
but we are leading out to assure customers make
the right choice in the ever-increasing radiant
heating market.

too can realize the benefits of adding electric radiant
floor heating and snow
melting installation to your menu of
services.
Warmzone radiant heat solutions can help
grow your business.
Radiant heat

Heat Your Existing Floors
RetroHeat - The Ideal Solution for
Heating Existing Floors
The heat of July is fully upon us.
It’s getting harder to imagine a
time when the air conditioner was turned off and
the heat was on full, but it
wasn’t too long ago, and now it’s
not too far in the future. It’s
time to think about how you can help heat your
client’s homes this coming
winter, and a RetroHeat
floor heating system from Warmzone
is one of the best options available.
RetroHeat is a cost-effective floor
heating product that is a great project
for consumers looking to upgrade their homes
without having to deal with major
remodeling issues. If the client has clear open
access to the floor joists of the room
they would like to heat, then installing
radiant heat is a snap. No need to destroy and
rebuild whole floors of their home,
RetroHeat is the clear solution. Simply staple
the heating
panel between the floor joists,
followed by a layer of insulation and
you’ve got yourself a radiant
heated floor.
Any type of floor can benefit from
RetroHeat’s floor warming system.
The carpet in a living room, the hardwood in a
walkway, the tile in a kitchen; all of
these are capable of being made more cozy with
RetroHeat. The floor surface may be of any
material having a total thermal
insulation value of less than R-11 / RSI-2. A
simple-to-understand heating thermostat gives
your client complete control over
temperature and time release.
If a RetroHeat project seems like the
right fit, Warmzone experts are waiting
for the call to help you design the system that
will work best for your new project.
Radiant floor heat is a great solution if your
client would rather not spend money on a new
circulating air system. RetroHeat
systems warm the ground beneath their feet
rather than the air above their heads.
RetroHeat’s benefits
aren’t only cost and ease of
installation. They are
energy efficient, thin and lightweight.
No energy is wasted in
heating air and then blowing it through
the house – instead,
the energy is directly transferred to
the floors. Because of their
unique installation system, no floor
buildup is necessary.
Maybe there’s a room
in your client’s house that has
always seemed colder than
the others, or a late addition that
didn’t get the same
insulation as the rest of the house. Or
maybe your clients want to
walk barefoot through your house in the
winter. Whatever the issue,
RetroHeat is an excellent option for
heating existing floors.

With so Many Benefits, Radiant Heat is an
Easy Sell
The comfort, convenience and the technology
behind radiant
heat systems have helped to create
the perception of luxury and exclusivity.
What most customers will be surprised (and pleased)
to discover is how efficient, from an
operational standpoint, and how truly
affordable these systems really are.
Radiant heat is a safer, cleaner, greener
alternative to traditional systems. It
derives its power from electricity rather than
costly fossil fuels. Radiant heat
enables customers to selectively heat rooms
quickly, where they need it most, and realize an
energy savings in rooms where they
don’t. Unlike forced air systems, radiant
heat radiates up through the floor and objects to
warm a room. It’s quick, efficient
and instantaneous. There’s no hot air, no air
ducts, so there’s no blowing
allergens and other contaminates to compromise
air quality, making radiant heat a safer choice for
home and office environments.
Warmzone is committed to the success of
commercial contractors, and strives to offer
a wide variety of the best radiant products. Our
professionals help customers with all of the aspects

Warmzone Continues Growth
Warmzone
Moves Headquarters to Larger Facility
Salt Lake City, Utah (PR WEB) – March 2,
2012 – Warmzone, a leading provider of radiant
heat solutions has announced that it is moving its
corporate headquarters from downtown Salt Lake
City to a much larger facility in Draper, Utah on
March 5, 2012. Located just 18 miles south of the old
Warmzone headquarters, the new facility boasts
greater office space and increased warehouse
capabilities.
In spite of the sluggish economy and
recent economic challenges, Warmzone has continued
to experience growth, necessitating the move into a
larger building. The new facility will allow
Warmzone to significantly increase the amount of
inventory it has in its Utah facility, which will
ultimately translate into even quicker service for
Warmzone customers.
“We
feel fortunate that we’ve been able to grow our
business in these difficult times,” stated
Executive Vice President, Brandon Weaver, “and
we attribute the growth to our superior customer service
and support. In today’s economy, people are
demanding more in an effort to stretch their

Outdoor Radiant Heating Systems
As radiant
heated floors have gained new
popularity, so too have heated
driveways and radiant snow melting
systems. Homeowners are discovering the advantages
of automated
snow melting systems and ditching their snow
shovels and bags of salt. And businesses are
getting in on the act too.
Radiant
snow melting systems have proven to be
invaluable for ramps, loading docks and
pedestrian walkways. Employees can focus on their
jobs instead of taking time out to shovel snow
during the winter months, and liability for slips
and falls on icy sidewalks is greatly diminished.
The increased safety and productivity far
outweigh the costs, as businesses continue to seek
out radiant heat snow melting solutions.
Home
settings like steps, patios or sidewalks that lead
to a hot tub are popular applications for
snow
melting systems. Hydronic
or electric
snow melting systems can be installed
for both heated sidewalks/driveways or heated
floors. While radiant snow melting systems are
typically installed in new construction
applications, radiant heat can also be installed in
existing driveways and sidewalks.
Using
saw-cut technology, grooves can be cut into concrete
or asphalt surfaces and heat cable can then be
placed in the grooves. An epoxy topcoat is
then applied to seal the heat cable in the grooves.
A sand broadcast can be applied to the surface
before the epoxy cures if you want additional
traction and safety.
Heat
cable can also be placed on top of an old
asphalt driveway and then a new layer of
asphalt is then applied on top of that and
compacted. (ClearZone heat
cable is designed to withstand the extreme
temperature and stress of asphalt
applications.)
Radiant snow
melting systems can be customized
and installed in countless numbers of snow
melting applications. Call a Warmzone radiant
heat expert to learn more today,

Make a Heated Driveway Work for You
The Days of
Manual Snow Removal are Over
Seriously
consider a life without back breaking snow removal. Can
you picture it? Are you smiling? Well, having a
radiant
snow melting system
right outside your front door makes that
snow-removal-less life possible. If you put a
heated driveway to work for you, chances are you'll
enjoy winter a whole lot more.
It doesn't
take much effort or upfront cost to make a radiant
heated driveway possible either. Radiant snow
melting systems are a simple addition to any new
driveway as they can be installed before the
concrete, pavers or asphalt goes down. But if you
have an existing driveway you don't need to lose heart
because heated driveways can also be
retrofitted in your current asphalt or concrete
driveway.
Radiant heated
driveways eliminate the back breaking, hand
shoveling, sweating work of manual snow removal. Heated
driveway systems are fully automated, so feel free to
sleep in or enjoy your morning coffee from the
warmth of your living room. When temperatures are
below a set point (usually 39° F) and the snow
sensor (pictured right⇒) detects moisture, it
signals the controller which then sends power to
the heat cables, outputting a steady stream of
warmth to keep your driveway clear of snow and ice. Once
the snow flakes hit the warmed surface they don't
have a chance to accumulate as they melt on
impact, leaving you with a heated
driveway constantly clear of snow. The snow is
left to accumulate where it is more appreciated, like
your front yard (for optimal snowball fights and snowman
building) or even your next door neighbor's
driveway.
If you've
told your neighbors about your heated driveway and they
still haven't installed a radiant
snow melting system of their own, you have
every right to silently snicker at them as you watch
from the warmth of your front window as they huff
and puff to remove their snow by hand. If you make
a heated driveway work for you, your snow removal days
are over. Forever.

If you are looking to warm your floors with radiant
heaters and are trying to research what kind of
radiant heaters to install you might find
yourself scratching your head at this point.
There are dozens of products available to purchase, and
there are even more companies telling you that
their product is the best.
So which product is the best?
Should you install a hydronic heating system
that pumps hot water through your floors, an electric
cable heating system, or a low-voltage screen
system? The answer lies in the type of project
you are doing. Not every system is ideal for every
project, but there is an ideal system for every project.
Hydronic Heating Systems
Hydronic floor heating is the
oldest and most popular type of radiant floor
heating. These systems are comprised of a boiler or hot
water heater, pumps, manifolds, PEX tubing,
thermostat, and either gypcrete (a concrete-like
material) or wood panels. Hydronic heating is the most
complex of all radiant heat systems. These systems
require trained professionals to design and
perform the installation. Your best economies of
scale are achieved for hydronic systems in large areas
or entire homes because of their expensive
components and operational costs.
Hydronic systems can be installed under any
type of flooring. Most hydronic systems require hot
water tubing to be installed in a 2-4″
bed of light concrete and are best installed during
the initial construction because of its weight load
demands and adjustments to floor height. Recent
low-mass products have been developed to avoid
these challenges by fitting the tubing into pre-cut
wood panels, making hydronic systems more convenient and
possible for most major remodeling projects.
If you want to heat smaller areas
like a bathroom or kitchen, a hydronic floor
heating system may not be the best value for
your project. The complexity and cost of installing the
system, along with the long-term maintenance and
up-keep required, is not worth the small amount
you will save in operational costs.
Electric Cable Heating
Electric cable heating
systems, often called line- or high-voltage
systems, are gaining popularity and are ideal for
heating smaller areas (10-300 square feet) like
bathrooms, kitchens, and sun rooms. These
systems are comprised of a thermostat and a heating
cable. On some systems, the cable will be
shipped to you as a large spool of cable. These
systems are oftentimes less expensive, and give you the
ability to space the cable how you want and
customize a layout that will heat every square
inch of your floor. Other systems have the cable
attached to a plastic mesh or tape to create a
mat to maintain its proper spacing.
Every available cable system is equally effective, so when
determining which system to purchase, you should look
at the warranty of the product, along with the ease of
installation. Some cables must be embedded in a
separate layer of concrete or mortar, whereas other systems
can simply be installed in the thinset. Most cable
systems can only be installed under tile. However, on
others, if the cable is embedded in mortar or concrete,
any flooring can be installed on top of the concrete. When
heating smaller areas, it is nearly impossible to beat
the simplicity and price of an electric cable heating
system.

ComfortTile Radiant Heated Floors
Radiant Floor Heat - Give Your Bathroom
Floor the “Spa” Treatment
Want the spa
treatment without ever leaving home? It’s the
perfect time to take the chill out of your
bathroom floor with ComfortTile
radiant floor heating systems. Easily installed
directly under tile, natural stone other surfaces,
ComfortTile radiant heat provides comfortable,
even floor temperatures, in your bathroom, kitchen, or
entryway. Just about anywhere there’s a tiled
surface is a great place for the comfort of ComfortTile heated floor
mats or cable. And with a low 3/16-inch (3
mm) profile, ComfortTile is a non-evasive project
ideal for bathroom renovations.
So how do
ComfortTile floor heating systems work? ComfortTile heated floor
mats and cable are a form of electric radiant
heat. The mats are essentially pre-spaced heat
cable woven into an adhesive-backed fiberglass mesh that
can be rolled out and installed under the subfloor of
any tiled surface. They are connected to an
electric power source and, like forced air
systems, are controlled by a thermostat. Once activated,
ComfortTile heated floors radiate heat from the
floor and up through objects in a given room to
deliver warm, even temperatures quickly and efficiently.
This
efficiency isn’t limited to the time it takes to
activate an electric radiant heat system. By
installing electric radiant
heated floors, you can watch a small investment
grow substantially. Radiant heat delivers higher
levels of comfort at lower temperatures than
conventional forced air
systems, without a reliance on natural gas.
There are no vents involved, so air pollutants, as well
as the costs of duct cleaning and filter changing
associated with forced air systems are virtually
eliminated.
The good
news, of course, is that while their appeal is high, the
initial cost of ComfortTile heated floor mat
installation is relatively low, so they’re
a great way to build equity in your home. Unlike forced
air heat, radiant heat installation isn’t
an “all-or-nothing” proposition for
homeowners either. You have the freedom to install
ComfortTile floor mats in one room, or several.
The mats are pre-terminated for use with 120 and
240 volts, and are available in various lengths of
24-inch widths to accommodate any layout, making
them a flexible, easy-to-install proposition for
do-it-yourselfers everywhere.
Warmzone
ComfortTile electronic
thermostats are specifically designed to
control electric radiant floor
heating systems for maximum comfort while
minimizing power consumption. With Warmzone
ComfortTile radiant
heated floors, you can heat one room, or heat
them all at the same time, if you wish. The system
can be coordinated with your habits, so you get
heat where you are, when you need it, without being
subjected to drafts, dramatic fluctuations in
temperature, and large heating bills.
It’s
never too late to benefit from the warmth and luxury of
a ComfortTile radiant heated floor. Call Warmzone

Radiant Heat for the Home
A
Comfortable, Affordable Solution
We’re on the fringe of another winter, but
already, folks in the Eastern U.S. might be
prone to saying it has arrived in full force. Record
snow falls and low temperatures in many parts
of the country are sending people out in
search of comfort-enhancing items as they prepare to
batten down the hatches for the upcoming
winter. And with the economic climate about as
frigid as the temperatures, people are searching for
clean, energy efficient ways to warm their
homes.
There may
be no better solution than a radiant heated floor. The
comfort provided by a heated
floor is simply unmatched. Sure, a
fireplace is great, but unfortunately the warmth is
rather limited to a small area.
Energy-efficient radiant heated floor systems
are easily zoned, allowing you to keep different
temperature settings for different rooms. This
means you can turn the heat off in rooms you may
not be using, adding to the economical benefits of
radiant heating.
Floor heating
systems consist of a grid of heating
cable installed under your finish floor
surface. Radiant heat can be safely installed under
tile, wood, laminates, or virtually any other
surface. The warmth from the heat cable
radiates upwards, warming the floor and objects
touching the floor, and even the air. You have
to experience radiant heat to truly appreciate
the luxurious comfort that it offers, which exceeds
anything that a traditional forced-air system
can provide. Unlike forced-air systems that
blow warm air which quickly rises and collects up at
the ceiling, radiant
heat originates at the floor where it
provides greater comfort and efficiency. In
addition to the silent operation of radiant
heat systems, there is no blowing dust
and allergens or noisy furnace blower. And perhaps
best of all is that radiant floor heating
systems are maintenance free. It’s no
wonder that radiant heat is the new craze for
homeowners today.

Warming Your Hardwood Floors
Add Warmth and Luxury to your Wood Floors with FloorHeat
Considering a
wall-to-wall carpet to wood floor conversion in your
home? When it comes time to choose an electric
radiant heat product, don’t forget to
include Warmzone’s FloorHeat in your remodeling
plans. This state-of-the-art radiant heat
technology features an extremely low-profile
heating element designed to distribute heat safely,
evenly and efficiently. Because of its efficiency,
affordability and ease of installation, homeowners
are increasingly turning to FloorHeat for use in a
wide variety of electric radiant heat
applications.
Just how does
it work? FloorHeat is
a self-regulating, semi-conductive polyethylene
heating element. It coordinates with a thermostat and
sensors placed below the subfloor of any hardwood or
laminate surface. The best part, of course, is the
heat itself—FloorHeat systems radiate heat
up through the floor and objects in a room to evenly
warm a room, maintaining comfort at temperatures a
few degrees lower that those required by a
conventional forced-air system. It’s flexible
enough to be installed under a variety of
surfaces, in a variety of applications.
Available in
9- or 12-inch-wide rolls, FloorHeat is an ultra-thin, flexible
heating element that’s very easy to
install. It is a very non-evasive application
that does not require elaborate ductwork or vent
installation, making it a safe bet for the
do-it-yourselfer. And as true for every Warmzone
purchase, it comes with the wisdom and experience of a
knowledgeable team of radiant heat experts.
They’ll be there every step of the way,
from helping you choose the best system for your radiant
heat needs and budget, to providing the
support you’ll need to successfully install your
FloorHeat in your home.
So
you’ve already installed wood floors throughout
your home, and you’re realizing that even
with all of those nice wool throw rugs you’ve
purchased, there’s a considerable difference in
comfort where wool meets the floor. No need to
tear up and start over. You can easily retrofit your floor
with FloorHeat radiant heat. RetroHeat
panels can be cut to the desired length and safely
stapled in between floor joists. After stapling,
simply connecting the electrical system, and
install batt insulation underneath the panels to direct
heat up through the floor.
It’s
never too late to benefit from the warmth and luxury of
a FloorHeat radiant heated floor. Call Warmzone
today at 888.488.9276 to find out how Warmzone
can partner with you to reach your home
improvement objectives.

installation. To keep paved areas completely clear
and free of snow and ice, radiant heating cable
can be installed underneath entire driveway and/or
walkway surfaces. Other snow melting
options include installing either an 8-10 foot
wide strip of heating cable, or two 24-inch wide
tracks of radiant heat cable up the middle or main
traffic area of your driveway.
WarmZone has
built a reputation not only on their approach to a
variety of radiant
heat systems, but on their
state-of-the-art products. ClearZone cable is durable
resistance heat cable used to melt snow and ice in
harsh weather conditions. It is built specifically
for heated driveways,
sidewalks and other common areas that require snow
removal in the worst conditions. Easy to install
and easily customizable, ClearZone heat
cable provides an effective, energy efficient and

that is virtually maintenance free.
ClearZone
electric radiant snow melting
cable is available in pre-configured sections, or
mats, for easy installation. These snow melting
mats are built specifically for electric heated
driveway systems, sidewalks and other common areas.
They're designed for ease of installation and
proper cable spacing for optimum snow melting
efficiency, whether you choose to heat an entire
driveway, or target high-traffic areas. They can
be rolled out for safe installation in new
concrete pours, under pavers and even in
high-temperature new asphalt projects.

A New Year, A New Motto: Simplify
Simplify
Your Life with a Radiant Heat Snow Melting System
Every
year that we grace this earth with our presence, our
lives seem to get more complicated. We go from
fighting our parents when they tell us it is
nap time to sitting at our desks during the work day
dreaming of nap time. Busy lives leave little
time for peace and quiet. New products come
out every day designed to simplify our lives and
make one aspect of it a bit more manageable.
Some of these products are gimmicks or passing
fads (a flash in the pan, my grandma would say) and
others prove to have staying power. One of
these simplifying ideas here to stay is a
snowmelt system. Snowmelt
systems are designed to simplify your life and
save you time clearing snow from your driveway
and sidewalks.
Radiant
snowmelt
systems lie beneath the surface of your
driveway and/or sidewalk and work
automatically to keep your property clear of snow.
Busy people with hectic lives across the
country are jumping on the driveway
heating bandwagon because it not only saves
precious time but also precious money as well.
Over time you’ll save money on snow blowers,
shovels, snow gear, ice melt, and other snow melting
chemicals. You’ll also be protecting
your driveway from harsh chemicals and plowing as
well as from ice and snow.
Snowmelt
systems are energy efficient, so once the initial
investment of installation has passed, your
cost to run and operate the driveway heating
system is minimal – especially since they are
programmed to run only when needed. The automatic
sensors detect moisture and turn the system on
only when the snow starts to fall. See, I told
you it was simple. So go ahead, simplify your
life this year and install a heated driveway system.

Custom Heated Driveways (cont.)
Of course, you may not be ready to pour a new
driveway right now. Perhaps the thought of rolling
out ClearZone snow melting cables or mats over your
existing pavement does not appeal to your
aesthetic sensibilities. But don't rule out a
heated driveway in your future just yet. ClearZone
radiant heat cable is easily retrofitted into
existing surfaces. Using concrete saw-cut
technology, grooves can be cut into existing concrete or
asphalt. The ClearZone radiant heat cable is then
laid into the grooves and sealed with a special
epoxy topcoat for efficient, effective snow removal.
Choose
Warmzone, and you not only benefit from
cutting-edge radiant heat technologies, but a team
of radiant heat specialists with the experience
and the expertise to design a snowmelt
system to satisfy your objectives and budget.
From start to finish, our professional designers
can evaluate your radiant heating system
requirements, and based on this information, create a
detailed CAD schematic of your heated
driveway system layout. You'll know the
electrical requirements, technical specifications
and system performance expectations before heat cable is
installed with no costly installation surprises later
on.

When to Install a Heated Driveway
Time for a
Radiant Snow Melting System
According to
radiant heat experts, the most popular time to install a
heated driveway
is during the summer and fall. However, early
spring may be the best time to purchase a radiant
heat system because that is when there is less demand,
which may translate to discounts or slightly lower
prices for you.
If you are
remodeling or building a new home in a cold climate
region, plan for the winters by exploring the
options of installing a radiant heated driveway. These electric snow melting systems are fully
automated and virtually maintenance free, providing
reliable, energy-efficient performance and
eliminating the need for manual snow removal or
the use of harmful snow melting chemicals.
Installing
a heated driveway during spring or summer
– before cold weather hits – is ideal for
several reasons. The optimum temperature for
curing concrete is between 65 and 85 degree
Fahrenheit. This is crucial in order for the concrete to
cure correctly and maintain its maximum
compressive strength rating, ensuring the cement's
durability and enhancing its life span. So, if you are
considering installing an automated heated
driveway system, don't wait until winter
hits to to begin construction. And believe it or not,
installing a heated driveway is surprisingly easy,
and one sure way to take the chill out of the
arrival of winter.
With energy
costs continuing to soar, consumers are searching for
the most efficient ways to take the "sting" out of
their heating bills. Consequently, homeowners and
commercial property owners have not only
discovered the appeal of energy efficient, indoor electric radiant
floor heating options, but also of outdoor
snowmelt systems, such as heated driveways,
walkways, staircases and more.
Given the benefits of maintenance-free operation,
reliable performance and affordability, it's no wonder
that
heated driveways
are becoming more commonplace among
residential and commercial properties. Heated
driveways are fully
automated and provide labor-free snow removal
without the need for salt and other snowmelt chemicals.
The cost to
maintain an electric heated driveway is
typically much less than hiring someone to
manually remove the snow. Your concrete lasts longer
because salt or harsh chemicals (or snow plows)
are not being used to melt or remove ice and snow.
Electric
radiant snow melting systems are also
simple to install, extremely durable, and require no
maintenance.
Heated driveways not only enhance safety and
increase the value of your property, but offer
convenience and peace of mind. Driving your car
out of the driveway doesn't have to be an
adventure every morning, and you shouldn't have to put
on your snow shoes to retrieve the morning
newspaper. Check out the driveway
heating and snowmelt options for your home
today.

ClearZone Snow Melting Systems
Electric
Radiant Snow Melting Couldn't be Easier
Are you
tired of shoveling snow off the sidewalk and
driveway after every winter storm? Are you
frustrated with the expense and damaging effects of
salt and snow melting chemicals? Radiant heat snow melting
systems have evolved to a point where
keeping your sidewalks and driveways clear of the
icy stuff has never been easier or more
efficient. Radiant snow melting systems are

cable is laid out in concrete, asphalt or
under pavers and the finish surface is applied on
the top. It’s a quick and easy way to install
a fully
automated, maintenance free electric

time and create a much safer area for your
family, it will also add to the value of your
property. Imagine getting up in the morning
and heading straight to work on a clean
driveway, not having to worry about packing the snow
into ice or throwing salt on the walks. Add up
the time it will save you over the course of a
winter; not to mention what you’ll save in
snow melting chemicals. Let your
neighbors wonder why the snow never sticks on your
driveway while you enjoy the wondrous benefits
and convenience of a radiant
snow melting system.

Heating systems
for homes and businesses are faced with an increasing
number of options to consider for their primary and
secondary heating. While fire places and coal burning
stoves become less popular, other alternative heating
methods are quickly becoming more common. Traditional
furnaces as a primary heating system are now being
challenged from radiant baseboards, radiant floor
heating systems and even radiant ceiling heaters. Many
of these new heating systems are using electricity
instead of natural gas or heating oil.
Space heaters are
also becoming a less expensive option to upgrading a
poorly insulated home or to add supplemental heat to cold
areas. Thermostone heaters and
heated
towel warmers
from
Climastar
mount to a wall and are a couple of heating
systems that have been commonly used in Europe for decades
are now gaining acceptance in the United States. Many
interior designers are adopting these electric heating
systems as fashionable accessories to bathrooms,
basements and home offices.
A common
challenge to traditional heating systems is the inability to
zone your home for specific areas of the home without
heating the entire home. Electric radiant heating
systems can be easily designed to be independently
controlled by zone which enables a home owner to increase
the temperature for defined areas of the home during
occupancy and conversely allows a particular zone to
remain off during down times. This strategy not only
saves the home owner money, it gives you complete
control to efficiently warm you most used living spaces
without comprising cost.
Choosing the best
heating system for a new home or to add supplemental
heat to a cold spot in your home now takes a little
homework. The radiant consultants and designers at
Warmzone have been trained in all of the latest
heating systems to properly assess your project and
prescribe a system that will add value to your home
inside of your budget. Contact us by phone or email to
